We are seeking a passionate IT Specialist to join our growing team in Global IT. As a key member of the Ascendis Pharma team, you will be responsible for the IT Operations at Ascendis Pharma European affiliates and the new setup of offices around Europe.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with cross-functional, global teams working together to achieve extraordinary results.

The IT Operations Commercial team is a newly established function in the organization, and you will therefore be an integral part of building this exciting new area. The IT Operations Commercial team is part of the larger IT Operations Teams, which consists of 35 colleagues worldwide, who you will be closely collaborating with.

You will report directly to your People Leader, Jakob Monajemzadeh Thrane, and work closely with Bastian S. Rasch on the functional side.

You will be based in Hellerup, Denmark.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Build and maintain IT infrastructure at our European affiliates.
  • Provide exceptional support to our affiliates, including day-to-day operations and 1st - 3rd level support, together with our competent Service Desk team.
  • Own the technical footprint of the affiliate setup including workstations, meeting rooms, audio video equipment and maintenance of computers & tablets.
  • Work together with operations vendors to ensure stable operations.
  • Work together with IT Operations, Application Teams, and Infrastructure Partners, to ensure optimal working conditions for commercial European affiliates.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in collaboration with vendors, ensuring minimal disruption to our affiliates’ operations.

Qualifications and Skills:
For this position, the ideal candidate can come in many shapes and forms.

The 3 most important requirements are:

    • Your technical skills and experiences. You value frictionless IT operations and infrastructure, and possess the skills to design, build and maintain a multinational office setup.
    • The right attitude. You are intuitively helpful, independent, and proactive.
    • Experience with travel. You have experience with frequent travel and enjoy being the go-to-person who is always on the way to the next office in Europe, helping the local affiliate implementing, maintaining, or troubleshoot their IT infrastructure.

    Furthermore, you have:

    • Strong experience in the Microsoft suite (M365, Intune, Defender and Azure). Preferably certified.
    • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure-, operation-, and support systems.
    • Familiarity with ITIL and other IT service management frameworks.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with all levels of the organization.

    Proficiency in English is a requirement. Skills in one or more of the following is not a requirement, but an advantage: Danish, German, Italian, Spanish or French.

    Key competencies:

    • You possess an entrepreneurial mindset and can thrive in an informal, open environment where innovation and change are key.
    • To succeed in this role, we also expect you to be an independent professional who can come up with smart solutions on the spot.

    Travel: 30-35 days pr year.
