Lead Business Developer in Bioenergy Development & Regulation

Ørsted

Join us in this role where you’ll drive new business development activities and help shape the regulatory framework for our Danish activities with a focus on CCS and district heating. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to development projects in the power and ancillary services markets. In Development & Regulation, we’re responsible for driving business development on existing assets as well as investigating and driving business cases on new assets. We’re also responsible for influencing and implementing current regulation relevant to Bioenergy.

Welcome to BIO Markets
You’ll be part of Development & Regulation where you, together with your colleagues, will work in a team of primarily economists and engineers with strong sector knowledge and experience. The team covers business development and regulatory activities across the main value streams of Bioenergy’s assets, incl. power, heat, ancillary services and carbon capture and storage. The team is physically based in both Skærbæk near Fredericia and in Gentofte and you should expect some travel between the two locations. As a team, we’re passionate and open-minded specialists with a strong team-spirit. We collaborate on tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with plenty of room to have a good laugh

You’ll play an important role in:

  • advancing the development of an attractive regulatory framework for our CCS activities
  • driving regulatory changes that create new business opportunities in heat generation
  • identifying and executing possible business ideas leveraging the unique opportunities on our combined heat and power sites in Denmark
  • leading external dialogue with stakeholders incl. the Danish Energy Agency, the Ministry of Climate, Energy, and Utilities, and other public and private entities.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have a master’s degree in economics or similar
  • have experience with and strong knowledge of heat regulation and/or the rapidly evolving CCS sector in Denmark and Europe
  • have a strong commercial drive
  • demonstrate assertiveness in your approach to tasks and interactions
  • are ambitious and structured
  • excel in creating and maintaining close collaborative ties to key stakeholders.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
