Sustainability Data Specialist

Join us in this role where you’ll play a key role as data specialist in maintaining systems applicably for delivering real-time output data requested for both internal and external stakeholders. You’ll also be part of the development of our systems to continuously adapt to new requirements, such as EUDR, RED III, etc. Your ability to translate numerous data points into commercial insights will be valuable in this role.

You’ll be part of Bioenergy Sustainability where you, together with your colleagues, will play a key role in securing efficient data collection from multiple internal and external databases and platforms as well as processing this data to ensure robust data-driven sustainability documentation. Data collection and management is essential for compliance with internal and external requirements and for us to deliver on its sustainability commitments. You’ll also be involved in an IT project working on updating our database platforms. As a team, we work together but with individual expertise and responsibilities. We like to get inspired and learn from each other whether it is from colleagues in the sustainability team or our commercial colleagues who are our main stakeholders and we work mainly from the office. Working in the sustainability team we of course have compliance and integrity as our focus, but commercial understanding and value creation is equally important in order to provide the best possible advice.
You’ll play an important role in:
- being responsible for maintaining database and models to evaluate and report SUS datain R-studio
- developing data models adapted to new requirements, both internal and external, i.e., new regulation
- securing data documentation to maintain our FSC, PEFC, and SBP Chain of custody certification
- internal development project on IT-platform securing all logistic and sustainability data
- the dialogue with biomass supplier regarding data and documentation
- being responsible for upstream CO2 emissions and total CO2 savings calculations.
To succeed in the role, you:
- are an experienced user of R-studio
- demonstrate high attention to detail both in data and systems
- are curious in how we can improve on data handling and systems
- have general understanding of the use of Biomass for energy, incl. knowledge of CO2 emission calculations.
