Then maybe you’re just the new employee we’re searching for. As Svendborg Brakes’ application department are facing great challenges going forward, we are looking for a competent employee who is absolutely wild about organic brake pads. Maybe you are not an expert today, but your ambitions are heading in that direction. We expect the duration of employment will be minimum 1 year.

You will have the following tasks and responsibilities, amongst others:

• Development of new friction materials for a wide variety of applications
• Technical discussions with suppliers & customers
• Assess suitability of new raw materials / manufacturing processes for frictional requirements
• Identification of brake pads components – environmental friendly etc.
• Responsible for description of these components in compliance with laws & regulations
• Creation of test methods for checking new friction materials – in cooperation with test personnel
• Creating of work instruction / recipes for manufacturing of brake pads
• ‘Hands on’ involvement within Pilot Plant and transfer to Full production
• Reporting and statistics for particles and fumes related to usage of braking systems

Qualifications:

• Educated: Chemical engineer, Chemist, Material scientist or similar
• Experience with formulation is an advantage
• Knowledge about general rubber technology, plastics and in-organic elements.
• Knowledge about dangerous chemicals (restricted/banned – possible dangerous), REACH etc.
• Experience with product/environmental documentation e.g. MSDS etc. is an advantage
• Good knowledge about good laboratory practices
• Persistent, positive and open minded attitude
• Initiative rich and able to get things going, used to work with a ISO or TS quality system
• Professional attitude that helps operating in all levels within the organization
• Fluent in English – both in writing and spoken. Preferable you also speak Danish or another language
