Your role and responsibilities
Are you ready for a career in technical sales of measuring instruments for industrial customers in Norway? In this position, you will have a unique opportunity to acquire knowledge about a world-leading portfolio of instruments and analytical products. As our new Sales/Project Engineer in the Measurement & Analytics division, you will build and develop networks within the Norwegian process industry. You will work with market-leading instruments for measuring Pressure, Temperature, Level, and Flow, as well as solutions for liquid and gas analysis. In this role, you will have customer responsibility and work with technical sales of forward-looking, leading products and industrial solutions. Key responsibilities will include: As a Sales Specialist at ABB, you will play a central role in identifying new market opportunities for the sale of ABB’s measurement and analytical instruments. Through active customer contact, you will develop long-term relationships with existing and new industrial customers in Norway. The main tasks in this role will include but are not limited to: • Responding to customer inquiries and offering products and solutions that create ‘added value’ in the customer’s process facilities. • Collaborating with internal product specialists, bid teams, and other internal support functions to develop and present technical solution proposals and offers, as well as negotiate and close contracts. • Executing projects in collaboration with our partners. • Contributing to technical knowledge sharing and interdisciplinary collaboration within ABB nationally and internationally. • Providing customer guidance and technical user support for instruments.

Qualifications for the role

  • Technical college or bachelor’s degree in Automation, Instrumentation, or Electrical Engineering
  • Vocational certificate as an Automation Technician or Electrician with relevant experience from the process industry
  • Relevant experience – recent graduates in engineering and technicians are also suitable
  • Strong skills in developing customer relationships and comfortable with frequent customer contact
  • Good communication skills in both written and spoken English and Norwegian
  • Ability to work independently but with a strong team-oriented mindset
  • Capacity to work in a structured and independent manner with high work capacity
