We are now looking for a Manager for Offshore Logistics within Integrated Operations in our Generation organization that operates and maintain our offshore wind parks, in Business Area Wind.

You will be part of Integrated Operations, which has responsibility for enabling the instalment of strong operation and maintenance of our wind farms and by being an integrated part of the site operations, enabling the sites in harvesting the benefits of being part of the Vattenfall portfolio. The unit is a vital part of the journey to be a best in class operator and it creates a lot of exciting opportunities to take part in.

Offshore Logistics
The Offshore Logistics team plays a crucial role in delivering safe and reliable offshore transportation for the Generation assets. The Offshore Logistics team currently consists of leads/experts in the field of marine and aviation, as well as Offshore Logistics Product Managers, who are tasked with delivering competence and resources on offshore logistics solutions, such as e.g. CTVs, SOVs, Jack-ups, helicopters and drones. The team is expected to grow to meet the future requirements from the organization with Operation, Commercial Management and other internal/external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities
Organization and coordination of services for the department Offshore Logistics as follows, but not limited to these services stated:

  • Ownership of technical and operational employer requirements/specifications for the Marine/Aviation/Logistics area for Generation;
  • Track and evaluate new technologies/products (e.g. new vessel types or environmentally friendly solutions, access systems, ROV/UAV, etc.) for Generation;
  • Support to operations on marine/aviation/logistics matters, such as supplier/operator performance evaluations and/or contractual discussions as well as new offshore logistics concepts or projects;
  • Inspections and supplier audits for Marine and Aviation assets and suppliers contracted for Generation including development of Key Performance Indicators catalogue to measure and control the performance of the suppliers/contractors
  • Expert advice in Offshore Logistics Support Services like for e.g. Accident / incident investigation, Subsea Inspections, Offshore Lifting equipment/containers, recertification of equipment, and other interfaces;
  • Ensure needed framework agreements are in place for the logistical area in cooperation with Commercial Management and other internal/external stakeholders.
  • Release procedures, method statement and instructions to be published to the Generation organization;
  • Provide info / participate in G+ / IMCA ect.

Your profile
Your background
As a person you are structured, independent, and result oriented. You have superior interpersonal skills and are a natural leader. We are looking for a person who has the ability to simplify complexity yet is flexible enough to find the best ways forward. You are a team player who actively engages people by asking, sharing, helping or asking for help. You are also pro-active, transparent, performance and results oriented. Sound communication skills and ability to travel is a must.

  • Bachelor or Master degree in transportation/logistics or offshore wind logistics would be desirable
  • At least 5 years of experience from working a similar leadership position in the energy sector or a technical industry.
  • Experiences in the offshore wind business, especially operation & maintenance of offshore windfarms would be an advantage;
  • Demonstrated ability to lead international teams, driving a performance culture and development of key skills and knowledge;
  • Experience of implementing successful changes in an operational and highly dynamic environment;
  • Proven skilled in dealing with strategic, highly complex issues and problem/ conflict handling
  • Health and safety as the highest priority
  • Fluent in English

Location
The Vattenfall location for this position is any of the main offices of Offshore Wind, Kolding, Hamburg, Amsterdam or London
