Join us as our new Principal Project Manager
We are looking for a Principal Project Manager to join us and take lead of strategic IT projects to help digitize Novonesis business. You will work close with various part of Novonesis business to find, design and implement digital solutions that enables Novonesis to make our purpose: "Better our world with biology" come to live.

Welcome to PMO & Ways of Working in Novonesis IT
You will become part of a small team of specialist within portfolio management, project management and lean-agile subject matter expertise. Our team aims to ignite business satisfaction through lean portfolio management and professional project management. Our team also facilitates the transformation and maturing of ways of working with the purpose of maximize the value that the IT organization delivers to organization.

As our new colleague you will help strengthen our practice around agile project execution and project management in general. You will contribute with your knowledge and experience to improve the way we are working, help drive our Project Management Community of Practice and also mentor / coach other colleagues managing projects.

In this role you will make and impact by
Ensuring that projects and programs are managed in a way that minimizes the risk of not hitting the mark of what the business needs (avoiding sunk cost), while ensuring that the delivered solution has just the right amount of features (avoiding gold plating).

Facilitating ideation workshops to explore business ideas and build an understanding of what problems we are trying to solve or what opportunities we are trying to enable, before we look for solutions. In co-creation with stakeholders, the project team and colleagues from our IT delivery teams ensure that we find and the right solution. This could entail:

• Ensuring project members immerse themselves into the business environment to identify pains and ways to create value
• Visualizing requirements and aligning with users, before we starting to build anything
• Involving users/business to check if we build the right solution for them
• Ensuring alignment with the steering committee on project goals and solution space

Delivering projects in line with our Agile Project Model, our Project management Framework and project management best practices. This includes:

• Facilitate the detailing of organizational change management activities
• Act as a servant project manager and help the project team breakdown and refine work together with representatives from IT delivery teams
• Help remove impediments that hinders the projects progress
• Manage the project backlog and when sending work to an agile team ensure clear agreements for what and when they need to deliver
• Define, obtain approval, and control the project budget
• Create a high-level project plan outlining main milestones
• Manage project risks
• Ensure the project meet critical business deadlines, is managed within budget and that the acceptance criteria of the project are met

To succeed you must hold

• A master’s degree within business or technology, or other relevant education
• At least of 5 years of experience with project management and a proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional projects from idea to value creation
• Technical understand or knowledge is an advantage
• Experience from IT unit in an international company or a consultancy firm would be welcomed
• It is an advantage if you have experience with agile practices, user journey mapping and design thinking
• Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to establish a high level of trust, building rapport, and succeeding with others
• Ability to communicate and engage with stakeholder at all levels in the organization
• Structured nature with the ability to navigate in uncertainty and constant change – while keeping an overview of the big picture, and when needed paying attention to the small, but crucial details
• A fast learner who enjoys new challenges and applies pragmatism to improve things
• Strong English communication skills - written, spoken and in presentations
