Head of AI Lab/Products

Behind the title
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Head of AI Lab/Products to lead a team of top AI scientists and internal AI product development initiatives. As the leader of AI Lab/Products, you will play a critical role in driving innovation in AI technologies, ensuring the right business cases, tools and methodologies are available in the company to scale AI and ensuring development and well-being of your team. You will be overseeing the overall direction and management of team, ensuring its alignment with our business goals and objectives across the enterprise.

Additionally, your key responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, engineering, and business units, to integrate AI capabilities across the enterprise
• Building strong relations with stakeholders across NN
• Fostering strategic partnerships and collaborations with academia, industry experts, and external research organizations to enhance knowledge sharing and accelerate innovation
• Leading the team and ensuring our impact and culture is sustained and continuously improved
• Providing guidance, coaching, and motivating your team, deriving a sense of accomplishment from their success as they implement the business strategy that you will be part of shaping

The successful candidate combines technical knowledge with people leadership experience in managing large scale tech or AI programs, balances fast-forward thinking, innovation with pragmatism and tangible results, and is able to operate under uncertainty, given how fast AI is evolving and getting democratized in the business world.

Which competencies to bring
To be successful in this role, we imagine you tick most of the following:

• Master’s degree or PhD in computer science, software engineering, machine learning or a related field. A strong background in AI is essential.
  • Master’s +8 and PhD +6 years for work experience
  • +2 years of people leadership preferable
• Proven experience in leading and managing complex, uncertain, tech-heavy or AI programs, preferably in an industry, startup or corporate, setting
• Direct people management is a plus
• Deep understanding of various AI methodologies, including ML, NLP and LLMs. Strong knowledge of AI infrastructure, tools, and frameworks
• Proven ability to assess business potential and risks of new technologies effectively and convert them to practical applications and tangible results
• Experience navigating a complex and senior stakeholder network, including business senior leaders, through effective communication and expectation setting

The position is primarily located in Bagsværd until November then based in Ørestaden, with flexible working options. As you will be working in a global environment, you must expect some meetings to take place outside Danish working hours and some travel activity.

The team waiting for you
We are a team of data scientists, analysts, machine learning engineers and developers, partnering across the organisation to deliver impactful end to end data products, analytics and ML solutions spanning from Research, to Commercial and Production. We want to industrialise and democratise the way we do AI, reducing the lead time from PoC to Production with scalable data platforms, MLOps, reference architectures and modularised components that span across the whole data and ML lifecycle. We are cloud native and work primarily in AWS. We work agile, embrace continuous learning and a culture of feedback and honesty, and we don’t forget to have fun.

Our group is part of the larger area of BI, Data Management and Analytics, where we get to work closely with our AWS data lake, data marketplace and data science platforms, having cross-functional power to quickly design and implement scalable solutions as well as take care of operations.
