The position
In this role, you will be responsible for creating value through strategic sourcing initiatives, thriving in managing procurement projects and stakeholder relationships, while ensuring regulatory compliance. delivering cost savings and driving process efficiencies.

As a Senior Sourcing Project Manager, you will function as a key procurement partner, taking ownership of the spend and contract portfolio within your dedicated business area. Your role will involve running sourcing projects in alignment with Novo Nordisk's Procurement Policy, related guidelines, and applicable laws, rules, and regulations. Specifically, your role will include:

• Leading, and managing strategic sourcing initiatives in close collaboration with stakeholders to deliver cost savings and ensure quality in line with business strategy
• Actively managing key stakeholders by leading and developing strategic relationships
• Driving internal and market analyses to identify trends and optimize the supplier base
• Managing key suppliers to ensure performance and quality throughout the contract lifecycle
• Developing and executing negotiation strategies
• Creating tactical and strategic recommendations for project steering committees, ensuring alignment with project objectives and strategy

Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you have:

• A master’s degree in business, Economics, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or Law, Political/Social Science, and have 4-6 years of project management experience preferably within procurement.
• Strong sourcing toolbox, with experience in strategic sourcing and procurement, managing strategic suppliers and leading supplier negotiations
• Solid business acumen to develop an effective sourcing strategy and influence suppliers and key stakeholders
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken
• Experience in negotiation and change management is an asset
• Experience with international roles or working in an international company with a diverse culture and daily interaction with many different nationalities will be considered an advantage

As a person, you have outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels. Furthermore, you have proven analytical skills and the ability to communicate findings clearly and in a structured way, while demonstrating drive and result orientation. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about learning, bringing innovative ideas to the table, and committed to speaking up and empowering others.

About the department
Corporate Procurement is anchored in Global Solutions under our CFO and is responsible for the indirect spend in Novo Nordisk. The department consists of 120 employees based in Denmark, 140 employees in India, and globally 500 people work in procurement.
