Stakeholder Relations Manager for Australia

Join us in this role where you’ll be responsible for cultivating and maintaining long-lasting relationships with stakeholders locally and regionally in Australia and building support for our renewable energy projects. You’ll lead our stakeholder engagement programme to consult and empower the communities where our projects are located to support our permitting work and identifying and deploying programmes to ensure we can be a good neighbour. You’ll support the development, construction, and operation of our future offshore wind farm projects, starting with our projects in Gippsland, Victoria.
You’ll play an important role in:
- developing and executing a stakeholder engagement strategy that maximises information exchange, stakeholder engagement, and promotion of our project values and processes
- building and supporting relationships and partnerships to influence and inform external stakeholders and media in line with our businesses and business interests in key localities across Australia
- supporting our projects and engaging with teams across the business to deliver to project priorities and milestones
- representing the project and company at external meetings incl. with local authorities, residents, councils, and local business organisations
- identifying opportunities to raise awareness of our organisation, its projects, and opportunities to further our external influence to maximise impact on stakeholders.
To succeed in the role, you:
- have experience with developing and managing successful stakeholder interactions from large scale infrastructure projects, ideally in renewable energy
- ideally are a certified IAP2 practitioner and have worked under this or an equivalent framework
- can balance both company priorities externally and champion stakeholder views internally
- have project management experience in leading and managing a network of internal colleagues, contractors, suppliers, and media to deliver an effective engagement programme
- are a clear and concise communicator with strong presentation and editorial skills
- enjoy meeting new people in diverse settings, whilst displaying the resilience and persistence required to engage with stakeholders.
