Our Ferry Division is transforming to ensure continuous growth and optimisation of scale and global synergies. In this newly created position, where you will report to the COO of Ferry, you will be responsible for the global terminal portfolio in DFDS that spreads over multiple locations.

As the VP, Global Head of Terminals at DFDS, you’ll be at the helm of our international terminal portfolio.
Your mission? To optimize operations, facilitate growth with commercial business units and ensure top-tier financial performance across our global network.

Besides travelling to our sites, while being permanently located in Copenhagen, here’s what awaits you:

Strategic Vision:

• You’ll lead the direction in shaping our terminal portfolio’s future. Imagine a united network where efficiency, safety, and sustainability converge.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and execute our move towards 2030 strategy. This isn’t just about financial gains; it’s about transformative impact.

Leadership:

• Your team of Managing Directors & Terminal Directors all championing safety, efficiency, and sustainability will look to you for guidance. People development incl. succession planning, Innovation and growth will be your watchwords.
• Be visible, authentic, and inspiring. We’re all in this together!

Business Development:

• Beyond operations, think big. Our terminals are gateways to opportunity.
• Forge partnerships, explore new markets, and redefine what it means to be a global terminal network.

Innovation and Efficiency:

• Our transformation hinges on innovation. Collaborate with our Transformation department to ensure digital initiatives are implemented and are impactful.
• Streamline processes, enhance profitability, and set new industry standards in partnerships with your operational colleagues.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• As part of the Operations Management Team, and Extended Ferry Management Team, collaboration is key. We’re a matrix organization, so cross-functional partnerships matter, especially your ability to cooperate with the Business Units across the organization to deliver results benefitting our overall DFDS goals.

About you

• Your track record speaks volumes and international experience. You’ve navigated the seas of transportation, logistics, and maritime sectors and have the relevant education to lead an international and experienced organization.
• Your role to strengthen our talent and succession pipeline across the portfolio is key.

Financial Acumen:

• P&L management, budgeting, and cost optimization are second nature to you.
• Balance the books while aiming for the stars.

Operational Expertise:

• Terminal leadership experience in one or more locations is a must.
• Dive deep into terminal operations – safety first, environmental practices, and all.
• You’re not just managing terminals; you’re orchestrating efficiency at land to also support our efficiency initiatives at sea.

Strategic Insight:

• Our transformational journey demands foresight - Anticipate industry shifts. Innovate. Adapt. Repeat.
• Your crystal ball? A mix of data and intuition.

Communication Skills:

• Inspire, motivate, and rally the troops. Your words matter.
