About the role

Maersk is currently seeking a Market Risk Analyst to join our dynamic Energy Markets team. As a Market Risk Analyst, you will play a crucial role in managing market risk and ensuring the success of our energy trading activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct ad-hoc analysis to explain market moves and trends
• Update and maintain existing tools and frameworks to support risk management processes
• Review and enhance existing processes to streamline operations and reduce manual steps
• Supervise and integrate multiple projects to support business objectives
• Write documentation and requirements to ensure transparency and accountability

• Increasing demands for analysis to explain market movements
• Growing product base requiring updates to tools and frameworks
• Need to automate processes to increase efficiency and reduce manual tasks
• Multiple projects running concurrently, requiring careful supervision and integration

What are we looking for

• Basic financial skills and understanding of market risk and value at risk concepts
• Proficiency in data technical skills such as Python, R, and SQL
• Programming experience to support data manipulation and analysis
• Strong communication skills to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences
