Are you a gifted marketing and sales professional who can set the direction and execute our Milk-Based Beverages (MBB) ambition in markets such as Croatia, Bulgaria, Czech Republic Serbia, and many more? Since we have established a market leading position with our Starbucks RTD business in many of those markets, we now want to continue to write the next success story. Join our dynamic and innovative team as we embark on an exciting journey to introduce our next global licensing partnership, where we will launch Milka Chocolate Milk drinks together with Mondelez International. We are seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial Commercial Manager to spearhead the successful launch of our latest proposition.

How you will make an impact
In this role you will report to the Senior Commercial Manager DS Rest of World and be based at our brand new office in Carlsberg Byen, Copenhagen, which is covering many of our International markets. Our International markets are managed through a distributor model, where you will be the main contact of our distributor partners together with one of our Export Managers. You will also work closely with colleagues in the Copenhagen marketing and sales teams as well as Global colleagues in Aarhus. As a Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the launch of our next big beverage play in several markets, mainly in Eastern Europe. You will plan and execute our ambitious ready-to-drink (RTD) strategy and be responsible for trade and commercial marketing for our new Milka products in those markets. You’ll actively contribute to the global strategy while driving implementation of our new portfolio, including focusing on new propositions, products and channels.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Take charge of the end-to-end launch process, ensuring a seamless introduction of our new proposition in Eastern Europe
  • Work closely together with our distributor sales organisation in Copenhagen and create strong business relations with our distributor partners across different markets
  • Lead the development of annual business plans aligned with market, category, brand and distributor strategies. Define and track KPIs to measure success
  • Collaborate with the Global team and external agencies to optimize the marketing mix. Execute impactful campaigns that resonate with the local audience
  • Own the development of channel strategies and placement plans across various channels, including convenience, retail, on-trade, etc.
  • Maximize the effective use of shopper investments and identify opportunities to enhance promotion effectiveness
  • Drive an overall focus on our new beverage play within the local organisations and support them in developing Beverage capabilities to ensure sustained success

What will make you successful
You have an open, positive and commercially-driven mindset with a strong desire to “get things done”. You are independent and enjoy working in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment. Your level of drive lies far above average, and your problem solving skills enable you to challenge the status quo and come up with ambitious solutions. You are open to travel approximately 30-40 days per year into our markets to build strong relationships with our distributor partners.

At the same time:

  • You are able to create and develop positive relationships with internal stakeholders while also speaking up and challenging others when the need arises. As a team player, you get your energy from engaging with your team and a broad group of internal and external stakeholders.
  • You have experience working within a similar commercially focused marketing, category or sales role within FMCG and will be able to translate consumer, channel, customer and business needs into strategy, proposition and concrete business results.
  • You are familiar with entire marketing process and ideally have had hands-on commercial experience either in the roles of sales, trade marketing or brand management. You also have the know-how to operate in a matrix set-up and a good understanding of the full value chain.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English is a must. Experiences with Beverages and Impulse categories will be seen as an advantage.
