Senior Internal Audit Manager, Personal Banking
We are looking for an experienced auditor with subject matter expertise within the field of customer focused risk management. The Senior Internal Audit Manager in this team takes leadership within the area of customer protection risk by acting as a subject matter expert, contributing to the holistic overview and assessment of the risk, leading audits and supporting the Head of Audit. In addition, the role contains accountabilities for driving excellent audit methodology practices as well as role modelling our values. Group Internal Audit (GIA) is an independent function, supporting the Nordea Group Board and Group Executive Management in protecting the assets, reputation and sustainability of the largest bank in the Nordics. What you’ll be doing:

  • Drive the continuous monitoring plan for the risk area “conduct and customer outcomes risk” including risk assessments, audit coverage, stakeholder communication and internal knowledge sharing
  • Assess the accuracy and consistency of risk assessments regarding conduct and customer outcomes risk area
  • Actively engage with a broad network of stakeholders within Nordea
  • Plan and manage complex audits in terms of team composition and stakeholders with strong subject matter expertise
  • Contribute significantly to the team performance and be a knowledge leader by providing training, coaching and mentoring within the area of expertise as well as within audit practices
  • Work with GIA colleagues across teams and countries in a truly global network

You will be reporting to the Head of Audit for the Personal Banking team. The role will not entail responsibility for managing staff. The role is based in Finland, Norway, Sweden or Denmark.

Your experience and background:

  • You have a minimum of 8 years of audit and customer focused risk management (conduct and customer risk) experience
  • Provable strong audit lead performance or subject matter expertise within conduct and customer risk area
  • Knowledge of the evolving regulatory requirements relating to the retail banking and customer protection area (e.g. MiFID II, IDD, SFDR and EBA Guidelines)
  • Ability to utilise data analysis as a working tool (e.g. Power BI or Python)
  • University degree in a relevant field
  • CIA or CISA certification

The role requires proficiency in a Nordic language (Danish, Finnish, Norwegian or Swedish).
