Position Title: Accounting & Tax Manager
Position Type: Full Time
Period: Three months with a view to extension or permanent employment
Location: Nordics Head Office – Copenhagen (Ballerup), Denmark

Your Purpose
As the Accounting & Tax Manager, you'll play a key role in Elancos Nordic finance team. You'll ensure top-tier financial reporting, controls, and compliance, handling crucial accounting processes (R2R & Payroll), tax reporting, audits, and statutory filings. You'll work closely with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders, including our Shared Service Center (ESC) in Poland, internal finance teams, auditors, tax consultants, and local authorities.

Your Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting (R2R):

• Collaborate with ESC on monthly US GAAP accounting and reporting.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts.
• Manage relationships with external auditors.
• Provide technical accounting and controls advice to local business and support functions.

Payroll:

• Oversee all Nordic payroll transactions with ESC.
• Post outgoing payroll payments and vacation accruals.
• Manage the annual Sales & Corporate Bonus Accruals process.
• Handle pension management for Norway & Sweden.
• Post tax accruals, make payments, and report to authorities.

Tax:

• Oversee local tax compliance activities and manage payments.
• Maintain relationships with tax authorities and advisors.
• Ensure robust controls for company taxation and assist in finalizing tax statements.
• Support transfer pricing and implement local policies.

Process Expertise and Business Partnership:

• Ensure accuracy of local Financial Statements (US GAAP and Local GAAP).
• Act as a subject matter expert on Local GAAP policies.
• Coordinate integration of local, regional, and corporate initiatives.

Controls:

• Promote a strong compliance culture.
• Ensure adherence to financial and taxation standards, process documentation, and training.
• Own all applicable SOx and operational controls.

Our Requirements to You
Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Finance & Accounting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment.
• Proficiency in English.

Additional Preferences:

• Fluency in Danish or another Scandinavian language.
• CPA certification, Chartered Accountant, or equivalent.
• Experience in multinational companies or Big 4 accounting firms.
• SAP experience.
• Knowledge of US GAAP.
• Experience in local financial reporting and tax.
