Why this role is important to us
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Global Payroll Controller to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing total compensation cost across the group and ensuring accuracy and compliance. This role requires good analytical capabilities, an understanding of payroll-related transactions, such as bonus accruals, holiday accruals and be able to explain deviations to budget.

The role is placed in Financial Controlling & Reporting function is part of Group Accounting and Financial Reporting; Together, we are responsible for accounting, financial controlling, consolidation and external reporting for SimCorp group. The job is located at the headquarter in Copenhagen or Warsaw. You will be reporting to the Head of Financial Controlling & Reporting.

What you will be responsible for

  • In debt financial controlling and analysis of monthly payroll data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Understand financial impact of various bonus models, including performance-based incentives, commission structures, and other compensation programs.
  • Prepare detailed payroll reports and variance analysis to explain deviations from budget and forecast.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on payroll analysis and findings.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of global payroll policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments to streamline payroll processes and implement best practices.

You will be part of an organization with a roadmap for the coming year that contains multiple interesting transformation projects. You will have the opportunity to participate throughout the execution and be part of the future Finance set-up with interesting career opportunities.

What we value (our requirements)

  • Master degree (i.e. Cand. Merc Aud. or equivalent)
  • Strong technical accounting skills within payroll finance
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with bonus models and compensation structures
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly and concisely
  • Great attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

On a personal level, you can keep a sense of perspective, have a positive mindset and are familiar with solving both complex issues and daily “hands-on” tasks with high quality. You like to work in a structured and independent manner with attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness. In addition, you are service minded and team-oriented and both engaged and persistent.

Quarterly and yearly financial reporting are peak times for us, and some overtime should be expected.
