We are now looking for a Transaction Manager to support the Private Markets investment boutique in Nordea Asset Management. About this opportunity Welcome to the Illiquid Products team within Product Office dedicated to the Private Markets Investment boutique. Product Office, and its 20 employees, is represented in all four Nordic countries and Luxembourg. The team develops and manages products in close collaboration with the entire value chain from the investment boutiques, over the operational functions and towards multiple distribution channels. Good product skills and good understanding of distribution and client needs are, together with intent and networking abilities, key to our success. The Private Markets investment team manages a fast growing portfolio of funds and mandates across private equity, private credit, unlisted real assets and natural capital on behalf of Nordea Bank as well as external institutional clients. As the Transaction Manager, you’ll play a valuable role in executing private market investments from deal sourcing through closing and transitioning to portfolio management. Your responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing investment opportunities and participating in Investment Committee meetings
• Leading deal execution, establishing timelines, assigning internal/external points of contact
• Conducting remaining due diligence and reviewing/negotiating the documentation package
• Identifying disclosure and regulatory requirements based on investment type/size/jurisdiction
• Engaging internal and external advisors like legal counsel as needed for special situations
• Coordinating reviews across functions on legal, tax, compliance and operational aspects
• Addressing any outstanding issues and negotiating terms with counterparties
• Preparing for and conducting closing meetings, executing documents, and funding investments
• Ensuring compliance with post-closing requirements like regulatory notices and record updates
• Transitioning new investments to portfolio management systems and ongoing reporting
• Archiving closing records and redistributing the deal team to new transactions
• Escalating issues and maintaining strong relationships with GPs and portfolio companies

Your experience and background:

• 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Academic background in business administration, finance, economics or law with a skillset within private markets investments
• Combination of deal execution knowledge and experience from private markets, leverage finance or similar transaction management role
• Alternatively you have another financial/investment background with interest in private markets investments
• A professional grasp of English, both written and spoken
