Omni Operations Finance Specialist, POSM

Pandora A/S

Omni Operations Finance Specialist, POSM City: Copenhagen V Country/Region: DK Application Deadline: July 31st, 2024 Do you want to be pivotal in impacting business performance by driving better visibility on a cost bucket that accounts for 500 million DKK in annual global spend and 250 million DKK in inventory? Are you a Finance professional who enjoys working with colleagues from other functions (e.g. Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Indirect Procurement, Retail Marketing) and with teams from across the globe? Do you want to be a part of an organization where you can dream beyond the obvious and dare to pursue bold ambitions? If so, this could be an opportunity for you!

The mission of the Omni Operations Finance Specialist is to provide financial oversight on our point-of-sale materials (POSM) spending and inventory to help drive and impact business performance. In this role, you will work closely with various cross-functional stakeholders located in the Global Office and in the Clusters. This position provides reports and analyses that could facilitate the identification of efficiencies, cost cutting opportunities, and similar. Thus, it is a key player in driving commercial excellence.

Adopting a “total cost of ownership” mindset for POSM, the Omni Operations Finance Specialist provides advice to Logistics Finance Business Partners and Cluster Finance teams on developments (at global level) that could impact downstream logistics costs (such as warehouse and outbound freight) and Cluster spending. Furthermore, the role acts as the Global Commercial Finance contact for Clusters with respect to POSM inquiries/issues, investigating the issues raised, and recommending corrective actions and process improvements to prevent similar issues in the future. The function plays a central role in facilitating knowledge-sharing between Global Office and Clusters Finance, and best-practice sharing among Clusters.

The key accountabilities of the role include, but not limited to:

  • Collaborating with Global Office stakeholders in developing guidelines and targets for planning POSM spending to be cascaded to Clusters during Budget/Forecast cycles
  • Developing and maintaining standard templates/reports and commentaries that will enable better visibility of POSM spending and performance management (Budget/Forecast/Actuals), and generate insights that could lead to cost savings opportunities or changes in ways of working
  • Tracking progress of the Group in achieving the cost savings targets, and flagging any opportunities or risks
  • Collaborating with POSM S&OP team in driving reduction of excess POSM inventory, and consequently, of the write-off provision as well
  • Managing the financial planning and month-end close processes for inbound freight and other OpEx accounts (e.g. purchase price variance) under the Global Office entity, and timely identifying any issues and trends that could indicate opportunities or risks
  • Enforcing master data governance in cooperation with Global Office and Global Business Services to ensure financial data integrity and quality
  • Driving the periodic standard cost update process to ensure proper cost allocation between Clusters and Global Office entity, and ensuring timely communication to Clusters of accurate prices for globally produced items
  • Providing financial modelling and analytical support for business cases and ad hoc initiatives
