C# Software Engineer with a keen interest in deployment

SimCorp A/S

Why this role is important to us:
You will join the team responsible for the core deployment platform of our flagship product SimCorp Dimension. A system that is mission critical for our customers.

In your work, you will be identifying improvements based on telemetry and user requests, find solution options, and drive the implementation. We use SOLID principles and TDD in our daily work.

You may be an experienced software engineer, or you have recently finished your degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or similar. The important thing is that you have a positive and constructive approach, are a great team-player and can see yourself working as we have described here.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Together with the team, develop our hosting platforms for public cloud as well as for self-hosting.
  • Implement our architectural design decisions with respect to non-functional requirements, including security and maintainability.
  • Ensure technical integrity and maintain high coding standards with the team.
  • Maintain security focus in daily life, though threat modelling and secure code reviews.
  • Constantly learn and improve yourself, the team and our product, for example working with engineering practices such as TDD and Mob programming.

Your skills and competencies:

  • Data driven decision making
  • Good C# level and understanding of what good code quality means
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and paradigms
  • Good communication skills and fluency in English (speaking and writing)

You will be working with the following (Even though it is an advantage if you have experience with these points, otherwise we will bring you up to speed using technical discussions, pair- and mob-programming, training and a comprehensive onboarding program):

  • Multithreaded programming
  • Debugging and error analysis in complex systems
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Working agile and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Working in an international setting with people from many different cultures

What it is like to work here
SimCorp’s way of planning and executing is “Beyond SAFe”, a scaled agile setup, founded in Lean-Agile principles and supporting agile practices on team level, as well as enterprise and program level.

When it comes to the working setup, we are following hybrid work policy that combines office and remote work. We are more flexible than that, however the team’s preferred way is to spend two days per week in the office and work remotely for the remaining days. This approach allows for a good work-life balance while maintaining opportunities for collaboration with colleagues.

Benefits
Attractive salary, bonus scheme, and pension are essential for any work agreement. However, in SimCorp, we believe we can offer more. Therefore, in addition to the traditional benefit scheme, we provide an effective work & life balance: flexible work hours, a hybrid workplace model. On top of that, we have IP sprints where you have 3 weeks per quarter you can spend on contributing to the company development as well as improving your own skills. There is never just one route – we practice an individual approach to professional development to support the direction you want to take.

Who we are
For over 50 years, we have worked closely with investment and asset managers to become the world’s leading provider of integrated investment management solutions. We are 2,800+ colleagues with a broad range of nationalities, educations, professional experiences, ages, and backgrounds in general.

SimCorp is an independent subsidiary of the Deutsche Börse Group. Following the recent merger with Axioma, we leverage the combined strength of our brands to provide an industry-leading, full, front-to-back offering for our clients, with SimCorp as the overarching company brand and Axioma as a key product brand.

SimCorp is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to building a culture where diverse perspectives and expertise are integrated in our everyday work. We believe in the continual growth and development of our employees, so that we can provide best-in-class solutions to our clients.

While aiming to deliver client value, we believe it is vital to consider our people and our planet in every business decision we make. Acting responsibly is not optional. It is essential.
