Agriculture Scientist

At FOSS Analytical, we’re looking for an Agriculture Scientist to join our Leap Innovation team. You will play a crucial role in developing anything from new spectroscopic solutions to providing new insights based on analytical data to optimize the use of agricultural resources and enhance food quality.

You will help set the direction
As an Agriculture Scientist, you will be at the forefront of our efforts to address the difficulties faced by the agricultural industry.

The essence of the job is to identify and solve customers’ challenges by turning their current and future needs into innovative, sustainable, and value-driven analytical solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Identify and implement innovative solutions to meet our customers' current and future needs in the agricultural sector
• Work closely with customers, partners, and colleagues across FOSS to understand market trends, customer needs, and industry drivers
• Conduct cutting-edge research to develop new technologies and methods for sustainability and quality
• Use your communication skills to drive projects forward internally and externally
• Analyze market trends and competitor offerings to inform strategic choices and maintain our competitive edge

Do you have an innovative mindset?
We expect you to have a master’s degree or PhD in Agricultural Science, Agronomy, Plant Science, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in agricultural research and innovation. You enjoy building networks across the agricultural sector, and you have a deep understanding of market drivers and customer needs.

We envision you with an innovative mindset, strong reasoning skills, and a curiosity for understanding our customers and market drivers. To succeed as a scientist, you must use excellent communication skills to translate research findings into applications.
