Your new role – why is this a great opportunity?
As part of the team, you will act as a strategic medical expert supporting and collaborating with various functions. You will be responsible for the development and execution of medical and scientific communication strategies, plans and meetings with internal and external stakeholders primarily supporting pipeline projects. You will have the opportunity to play a role in shaping our initiatives to align with Lundbeck’s new corporate strategy, focusing on innovation within the field of rare neurological conditions. You will also contribute to the assessment of new indication opportunities in Lundbeck’s pipeline and business development evaluations.

As a Senior Medical Advisor in a global function, you will get the opportunity to develop your Medical Affairs skills and experiences across the value chain.

Your future team
Medical Strategy and Communication Neurology is part of Medical Affairs at Lundbeck Headquarters in Valby, Denmark. Our culture is characterized by responsibility and empowerment for the individual team members.

You will join a highly skilled team consisting of one Operations Manager and seven medical experts, with varying backgrounds and experiences in the pharmaceutical industry. In this team, humor, helpfulness, flexibility, and openness are highly valued.

The position is full-time and on-site, based in Valby, Denmark. You are expected to travel about 20 days per year to cover business meetings and international congresses.

What you bring to the team
Our preferred candidate has the following qualifications:

  • Science background (MD and/or PhD)
  • +5 years of experience from a medical affairs function of the pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience from working with rare disease
  • Proficient in English and can communicate effectively internally and externally

You have extensive stakeholder management/influencing skills and can lead cross-functional teams with multiple stakeholders of various levels of seniority. In addition, you are a collaborative team player, used to manage agile projects from start to end with focus on deadlines. You also master strategic thinking, tactical planning and execution. You are motivated by applying and further developing your expertise.

You will work in an agile cross-functional environment where good collaboration skills are a prerequisite, in addition to solid scientific and pharmaceutical industry experience. As you will be creating new medical materials as well as reviewing promotional materials, it is critical for this role to understand and ensure compliance to industry codes and regulations.
