An analytical and innovative Process Engineer is needed for our NPI area (New Product Introduction).

Among other things, the department is responsible for implementing new turbine types into present or new production facilities around the world, as well as setting the production engineering standards within manufacturing and documentation at present factories.

How to contribute to our vision
As our new Process Engineer your key responsibilities will, among other things, be to:

  • Developing and aligning best practice for Production Engineering standards on a global scale
  • Supporting, training, and assessing the assembly plants within Production Engineering standards
  • Being the link between Technology (R&D) and our production facilities during product development
  • Designing and implementing production lines for new products in cooperation with the local plants
  • Designing and implementing production lines for new production facilities
  • Participation in feasibility studies during site selection for new footprint projects

Working with & deliverables:

  • Storyboards giving an over all description on assembly process and determine different requirements to area (LxWxH) weight requirements, el, air etc.
  • Lay out: Determine and describe lay out requirements, based on given tack times
  • Manufacturing proves: based on tack time you describe, determine number of stations and process
  • Establish PFMEA based on information from Technology (DFMEA) and lessons learned from previous factories
  • Manufacturing process flow, input to make or buy and review work instructions

What do you need to make a difference
Passion for renewable energy and a sense of the importance of leading the change.

We are also looking for a future colleague who holds a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Production Technology or equivalent combined. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply, we will set up a buddy set up with one of the old skills employees will teach, learn and support you.

Since Siemens Gamesa values learning and further education, we will set up your future personalized education plan to ensure your further development. We are therefore looking for candidates who are eager to expand their knowledge and acquire new skills.

Relevant experience within the wind energy industry or similar, is a benefit for the role but is not a requirement.

We are looking for someone with an interest in cross-functional understanding of global business process descriptions. You should be good at communicating and influencing people across different functions and levels within an international organization. General assembly technology knowledge is considered an advantage.

As a person, you are an extrovert combined with an analytical, systematic mindset, and eager to ask questions to expand your understanding. You have a proactive and self-driven approach to your tasks, and you welcome new challenges. Moreover, you thrive and navigate easily in a dynamic and complex environment where entrepreneurship is highly valued. If you have Teamcenter experience, it will be seen as an advantage.

You will be joining a well-organized team that are looking forward to your support, the team will make an onboarding plan for you to ensure you get a good start with the team. They are looking very much forward to sparing with you on your new ideas and thoughts. Your buddy will support you from your first day and will always be there for you in the future in case you have any questions.

Lastly, we assume you possess strong English skills, both orally and in writing.
