Bioinformatics IT Support Assistant (part-time) – DTU Health Tech

DTU Health Tech is looking for a responsible and motivated IT Support Assistant. You will help supporting and maintaining the sections compute infrastructure for use in courses and web services.

The job

As our new colleague your primary tasks will e.g. include the following:

• Developing web pages and services in a Unix environment
• Answering emails regarding our bioinformatic services
• Helping your colleagues with the technical part of Bioinformatics

Our expectations of you
We expect you to build a positive working relationship with your new colleagues and to have a service-oriented approach. We place emphasis on the following professional and personal qualifications:

• Ability to work independently in a unix environment, shell scripting
• Ability to script independently in a common programming language
• Some background in Bioinformatics and Biology
• Organized and structured
• Good communication skills in English, both orally and in writing
• Service-minded and good at collaboration

Salary and appointment terms
Depending on your profile salary and employment terms will be in accordance with the OAO-S Joint Agreement and the organization agreement for IT employees (Prosa) in the service of the state or (if you have a relevant BSc degree) the appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC) (employment as AC-bachelor).

Working hours are on average 10-12 hours per week. If you are a student the work can be organized flexibly in relation to holidays, exams, etc. The employment period is one year starting 1 September 2024 (or according to mutual agreement).

The workplace is DTU Lyngby Campus (or one of the other locations).
