The position
As a Process Engineer, you will be part of a newly established department, providing ample opportunity to influence the way we work and the culture of the unit.

You will be responsible for:

• Exploring the possibilities of expanding our facility with a fermentation and recovery section.
• Contributing to all phases of the project, from idea generation to design, construction, commissioning, and start-up.
• Providing input to optimize the design and ensure it is fit for purpose for the use cases.
• Converting your experience from operating a large-scale plant to a test facility scale and purposes.
• Joining the team that will run the facility once it goes into operation.

Qualifications
For this position, we are looking forward to connecting with candidates who:

• Hold a master’s degree in engineering, biotechnology or any other relevant field.
• Have solid experience as Process Engineer within fermentation, recovery or associated utility systems.
• Have experience working in a project team.
• Full professional proficiency in English and Danish

You will need patience, strong communication skills and good stakeholder management to deal with the local sites and their practices. Being a good team player, you will enjoy collaborating with a wind range of colleagues and stakeholders, to achieve common goals.

About the department
We are a brand new department that is organisationally placed in API Manufacturing Development (MDev). The department is responsible for producing API for technical use to support the development of Novo Nordisk's future product pipeline. The new plant will also be an internal innovation hub to support the development and maturation of new production technologies.

We have many new and exciting technology projects in the pipeline and therefore we are expanding the facility with new unit operations within purification while also exploring the possibilities of expanding the facility with a fermentation and recovery section. Therefore, we are now looking for a process engineer with experience within fermentation, recovery or utility to join our project team.

We are currently a team of 17 employees consisting of process engineers and technicians with different professional backgrounds.
