The Role
The Clinical Application Specialist is responsible for supporting technically and clinically EP procedures. You will actively promote Abbott’s products from a technical perspective, supporting all field processes in collaboration with the local organization. The role also requires you to build strong and professional relationships in various hospital settings, and therefore you need to be flexible and adaptable for changes. The primary location is around Copenhagen, but you need to be ready to travel around Denmark.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary technical support to physicians and nurses during Electrophysiology procedures using Abbott equipment over the assigned territory
• Support EP strategy and its execution, by supporting all activities related to the promotion of EP products, including internal and external educational programs, customer clinical training and other Abbott events
• Take responsibility to understand and comply with all clinical practices and standing orders required by the individual healthcare establishments when attending in support of any medical procedure
• Support physicians in the enrolment and follow-up phase of clinical studies
• Participate in the creation of tailor made training programs based on customer needs and requirements and perform product presentations and training to customers.
• Respond to technical questions that might be raised by customer personnel
• Understand how Abbott’s product portfolio compares to competition, to be able to offer an Abbott’s solution to customer in as many situations as possible
• Proactively communicate to the Sales and Marketing organization relevant information that can pertain to: the account, the physicians, product preferences, procedural preference, etc.
• Produce concise market and competition reports for the Sales and Marketing team, providing the organization with competitive devices information

Requirements

• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required. Bachelors / Engineering degree in bio medical / cardiology is preferred.
• Successful engagement with customers
• Technical expert for product line responsibility
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to identify and drive resolution of issues
• Fluent in Danish
• Good English skills in speech and writing
