Senior Modelling Lead

Blue Power Partners is a global consultancy and project development company dedicated to developing renewable energy. We are expanding our activities and are currently looking for a colleague with excellent techno-commercial skills and the right consultancy mindset.

As we are at the forefront of the renewable industry, turning Power-to-X projects from idea to tangible impact and continuing expansion of our Operational Modelling Team, we seek a highly skilled and experienced Senior Modelling Lead to join our pioneering team.

About Us
You will be part of the Commercial Excellence & Operational Modelling team, where we deliver world-class data analysis and modeling solutions. The team comprises an eclectic range of experts, from specialists to Ph.Ds., in supply chain management, mathematics, wind modelling, energy engineering, electrical engineering, finance, software engineering, and data science.

We have a strong position delivering advisory and modelling services by supporting leading private equity investors in renewable technologies such as wind and solar generation, energy storage, and PtX.

As a Senior Modelling Lead, your main responsibility will be developing business cases and delivering impactful insights from our modelling framework. Over time, we aim to build a team of 3-5 employees who will report directly to you.

Your day-to-day work will include:

• Deliver detailed business case analyses to evaluate the feasibility and viability of projects, including optimization of project configuration and composition.
• Contribute to the design, development, and execution of advanced strategic/operational optimization models for PtX projects.
• Be the architect behind refining modelling our framework to ensure modelling accuracy and modelling project execution efficiency.
• Fronting client deliverables and people management of your execution team.

Furthermore, you will handle client interaction and team collaboration, such as:

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize renewable energy and PtX projects for maximum value creation and project impact by delivering project insights.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients regarding modelling efforts.
• Communicate complex modelling concepts clearly and concisely to clients.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align multiple modelling efforts with overall project portfolio goals.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Our headquarters is in Aalborg, but we also have a rapidly growing office in Copenhagen. Nevertheless, we are a global company with a global mindset, so all our positions require flexibility from time to time.

About You
Our new Senior Modelling Lead will play a crucial role in optimizing projects and delivering business cases within our Operational Modelling Team. Therefore, we expect at least 5 years of experience with similar work.

Success in this role depends on your ability to maneuver in an entrepreneurial and performance-driven organization where you are building strong relations to your employees, management team, and stakeholders in the organization

You are a curious and outgoing individual who uses your passion as daily fuel to make a difference. You are eager to provide high-quality deliverables and you are a dedicated team player.

Preferably, we expect you to enrich our business with the following experience and skills:

• Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, etc.).
• Proven experience in developing and optimizing strategic/operational models for PtX, energy storage, and renewable energy projects.
• Strong proficiency in programming tools and languages (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB, etc.).
• Broad understanding of renewable technologies (wind, solar PV, batteries, electrolyzers etc).
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Previous experience in a client-facing role, with a successful project delivery track record
