We are looking for a talented Business Risk Manager to join Management Oversight in Large Corporates & Institutions to work with GDPR and Data Privacy. This is an opportunity for you to join our team and play an important role in supporting business managing ePrivacy risks.

About this opportunity

You will join Management Oversight in LC&I to work with ongoing compliance of EU data privacy regulations such as GDPR and ePrivacy. The work consists of supporting business with your Data Privacy expertise in the daily challenges and participation to Nordea journey to mitigate and manage the Non-Financial risks for LC&I as a whole.

What you will be doing:

  • Developing and maintaining oversight of LC&I personal data footprint as well as the related risks and mitigations
  • Maintaining overall oversight of LC&I GDPR liabilities and secure proper planning and execution on e.g. mitigating actions for gaps identified in ongoing monitoring
  • Participating in evaluating the Data Privacy risks as part of annual risk assessment activities
  • Acting as a central point of contact on operational data privacy matters together with your colleagues
  • Supporting business in developing, maintaining and implementing LC&I SOPs on GDPR and providing training and knowledge on how we link the LC&I-owned personal data into the relevant Nordea Group processes
  • Providing input to personal data related operational governance such as RACIs and the future operating models
  • Monitoring the operational performance of data privacy activities serving LC&I
  • Advising business on Privacy Impact Assessments and data privacy related QRAs
  • Liaison on the LC&I application landscape and providing steer on e.g. the prioritization of development activities

The role is based in Helsinki, Finland, or in Copenhagen, Denmark.

To succeed in this role, we believe that you have:

  • Good collaboration skills and ability to drive changes into our ways or working
  • A basic understanding on data governance concepts and knowledge on how to gain understanding on and document how personal data is gathered, stored, processed, and disposed of in a complex corporate (application) environment
  • A solid understanding of operational risk management, as well as a capability to design risk-related processes and implement risk management actions when needed
  • Knowledge on developing new processes, as well as operating and maintaining oversight of the processes together with your colleagues
  • Are self-driven, structured and committed to delivering improvements where the current risk levels require action
  • Solid skills on Microsoft Office applications

Beneficial in the role:

  • Have good general level knowledge of EU data privacy regulation such as GDPR and ePrivacy
  • Have an analytical approach driven by curiosity and creativity combined with an eagerness to increase your competencies in risk management
  • Are a problem solver who works in a structured manner

Your experience and background:

  • You have a relevant B.SC. or M.Sc. degree
  • You have interest in risk management and financial instruments
  • You are fluent in English
  • Nordic language skills are considered as an advantage
  • Data Privacy knowledge is considered as an advantage
