Senior Demand Planning Professional (maternity cover) - Aarhus

We are looking for a talented Senior Demand Planning Professional with a commercial mindset, strong analytical skills and a proactive approach. The purpose of the demand planning processes is to continuously create the best unbiased estimate of the future demand for the various products on the Danish market.

How you will make an impact
In this role you will be reporting directly to the Senior Demand & Promotion Planning Manager and have a wide contact surface across Arla’s functional areas. In order to succeed, you need to have a solid understanding of both the supply chain activities and all commercial aspects of forecasting. We expect you to offer strong stakeholder management skills and be motivated by face-to-face communication.

Besides focusing on core forecasting tasks for your assigned categories, you will work to develop and enhance processes and tools applied in the department. In this high-paced work environment, we expect you to:

• Take lead as a stakeholder in the Sales & Operations Planning processes
• Secure commercial input from and ensuring alignment with our Sales and Category departments
• Analyse sales data to forecast special events, cannibalisations and seasonal profiles
• Improve forecast accuracy over time by conducting and presenting structured root cause analysis
• Monitor and analyse results and KPIs to take corrective action and ensure improvement
• Adapt new standards & procedures and implement new tools to improve the overall performance
• Maintain and expand a wide contact surface and communicate with several departments through continuous stakeholder management.

What will make you successful
We imagine that the right candidate could have a degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Economics or similar, and may have worked with forecasting, planning or logistics for some years already. Regardless of your experience, you are known as a service minded and outgoing team player who thrives working in a high-paced environment. And you want to develop yourself and are curious to understand the mechanisms of demand planning.

Additionally, you are:

• A skilful communicator who enjoys building positive relationships when you collaborate across the departments
• Proactive and enjoy being held accountable for your area of responsibility
• Able to remain calm under pressure and utilise your analytical skills when solving problems
• An advanced IT-user, experienced with Excel and PowerBI
• Experience with SAP IBP is an advantages but not a requirement
• Fluent in Danish and English
