As our new Department Manager for Application Design, you will play a critical role in advancing our innovative solutions. You will oversee the design and development of application systems that support our next-generation engines, including auxiliary equipment for new fuel types such as LNG, LPG, Methanol, and Ammonia. Your experienced leadership will be essential in fostering a culture of collaboration and communication across the organization and with external stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Structuring, executing, and communicating tasks to stakeholders
• Having a strategic business mindset for new business product development and maturing
• Managing people, including recruitment, training, professional development, and performance evaluation
• Managing internal and external stakeholders
• Leading day-to-day administrative tasks

You will be based in our office in Copenhagen (in 2027 we will move to Trekroner close to Roskilde)

We imagine that you:

• Have 5+ years of leadership experience, particularly in leading engineers
• Preferably have professional experience in the field of application design or similar
• Find fulfillment in leading people and fostering their development
• Excel in communication and relationship-building
• Are fluent in English, and it would be beneficial if you also have an understanding of Danish

Welcome to Application Design You will lead a team of 13 engineers with a variety of backgrounds and work tasks. We make application design for engine supply systems and maintenance tools for the engines. Moreover, we have close cooperation with DTU and other educational institutions.

The department develops, designs, and takes part in product management of auxiliary equipment for new fuel type engines, i.e., LNG, LPG, Methanol, and Ammonia—fuels with a lower environmental footprint. This involves working with various technologies and processes for the marine industry, including precise mechanical equipment, high-pressure hydraulic systems, cryogenic equipment, liquid gas and gaseous gas, skid design, etc. Further design and development of maintenance tools for the large two-stroke engines require creative solutions for ensuring proper service and maintenance conditions.
