job description
On behalf of Norlys, we are seeking a Senior Software Asset Specialist / License Specialist with a strong drive and professional dedication to join their team in Norlys’ IT Shared Service Center. As part of a group of 12 skilled and committed colleagues, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing their operational methodologies, achieving cost efficiencies, optimising licence utilisation, and advancing their Software Asset Management (SAM) Center of Excellence.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with team objectives and maintain budget control. Additionally, you will provide essential guidance to architects on licence design, contributing to the overall success of company initiatives.

key responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and oversee software asset management policies and procedures, ensuring an accurate inventory of software licences is maintained to guarantee compliance with licensing agreements and efficient tracking of usage
- Monitor software deployment across the organisation to identify optimization opportunities and potential cost savings, while keeping abreast of industry trends, licensing models, and regulatory requirements
- Work collaboratively with different departments to assess their software requirements, offering expertise on licensing options and contributing to the selection of appropriate asset management tools and systems
- Partner with Category Management to negotiate and manage software licensing agreements and contracts, ensuring favourable terms for the organisation
- Conduct regular software audits to ensure adherence to licensing terms, identify any potential risks or discrepancies, and maintain software compliance
- Stay informed about the latest developments in the field of software asset management to continually enhance practices and tools

Your main workplace will be in either Århus, Esbjerg, Silkeborg or Aalborg, with occasional travelling to other locations.

You possess a comprehensive understanding of software licensing models, compliance obligations and industry best practices.
