In Nordisk Games we currently have a portfolio of 6 game studios that are enabled to develop lasting global IP’s and rich gaming experiences for millions of consumers worldwide: Avalanche Studios Group, Supermassive Games, Flashbulb Games, Mercury Steam, Nitro Games, and Star Stable Entertainment.

With our investment follows support, and we challenge our studios to aim high when building global IP’s and creating rich experiences for millions of gamers worldwide.

The Role
We are now looking to add a Financial Controller to our dynamic and fast-paced team. This is a pivotal role for an ambitious finance professional eager to play a significant part in the games industry.

The Financial Controller will report to the Finance Manager and be responsible for a range of financial processes, including timely financial submissions, meticulous financial & compliance reporting, and accurate period closing. In our dynamic organization, the priorities can sometimes be unpredictable which means that agility, team spirit and strong sense of ownership are important personal traits for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver accurate and timely financial submissions.
  • Aggregate and finalize financial statements and reports.
  • Drive controls for intercompany transactions, transfer pricing and standards.
  • Work actively with both internal and external audit processes.
  • Assist in establishing processes to monitor compliance and effectiveness of financial controls in line with Egmont/Nordisk Film methodology.
  • Contribute to the automation and standardization of financial processes.
  • Engage in ongoing communication with a range of stakeholders around the wider organization.

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of financial statements & accounting processes.
  • Strong understanding of local GAAP and IFRS standards.
  • Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis & modelling.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, advanced Excel skills, understanding of ERP systems.
  • Strong data analysis skills and ability to make data-grounded decisions.
  • Excellent networking and communication skills, both written & verbal.
  • Graduate or MSc in accounting, economics, or similar field.
  • Relevant work experience: auditing experience in a larger company is advantageous.
