Global Subject Matter Expert – protein-analytical methods

Do you want to contribute to defining new processes and implementing changes in a global TechOps organization? Are you ready to use your cGMP experience to guide and influence colleagues across QC sites by facilitating communities of practice?

As an integral part of a supportive and united multicultural team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our protein-analytical methods within QC remain reliable, cost-effective, and compliant. You will contribute to developing policies and procedures for Ferring commercial products globally, while troubleshooting and supporting projects.

More specifically, you will join our international Center of Expertise (CoE) Analytical Processes within the Global Manufacturing, Technology & Science (MTS) team.

We implement policies and procedures, share best practices, and ensure continuous improvement of analytical methods across Ferring. Our shared mission is to become a recognized Center of Expertise, bringing scientific and technical solutions to our stakeholders and best-in-class products to our patients.

Your day at Ferring Your primary responsibility will be to establish, advocate for, and support the implementation of best practices within the QC network. This will involve a focus on analytical Quality by Design (QbD), analytical robustness, validation, transfer, and analytical lifecycle management (LCM).

You will also contribute to the development and delivery of key operational and strategic plans for MTS CoEs, continuously helping bring in new knowledge and introducing best-in-class practices and trends.

Other tasks include:

• Initiating, leading, or participating in technical projects such as analytical robustness improvement and risk mitigation or compliance with new regulatory requirements
• Supporting troubleshooting teams for analytical methods – using your strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot these issues and implement solutions
• Supporting technology transfer projects with technical expertise for the analytical methods in scope
• Supporting the introduction and implementation of existing and new technologies into the manufacturing network
• Authoring and maintaining relevant global SOPs, guidelines, and tools related to the analytical field

Our International PharmaScience Center (IPC) in Copenhagen will be your primary work location. Still, you should also expect to spend about 30% of your time traveling, e.g., visiting QC sites when required for troubleshooting.

Additionally, you have:

• Excellent knowledge of protein chemistry
• Experience from a highly regulated development environment – e.g., QC testing for clinical phase 3 products or another analytical field in the biopharmaceutic industry
• Extensive knowledge of development, validation, and/or routine application of physicochemical methods applied to biomolecules (chromatography, electrophoresis, oligosaccharide analysis, mass spectrometry)
• Good working knowledge of cGMP, pharmacopoeial requirements, manufacturing sites, and the pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical regulatory framework
• Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written
