The position

We are looking for a Commercial Contract Manager to join the Pricing & Contract Excellence team in HBK. The right candidate will get a unique opportunity to assist in developing and implementing pricing and commercial contract management best practices globally.

HBK was formed in the merger of the leading test and measurement powerhouses, Brüel & Kjær and HBM. The company is going through a transformation to become one HBK with common go-to-market approach, processes and systems landscapes. To achieve this, excellence in pricing and commercial contract management is vital. The Pricing & Contract Excellence team is newly established, and as our new colleague you will be a key team member driving this transformation.

This role is well suited to a candidate with solid experience in commercial contract management. You will have the opportunity to drive the roll-out of key contract management initiatives, thereby having a profound impact on our commercial organization on a global scale. Additionally, you will assist in the continued development of global pricing principles and improve our pricing maturity.

The ideal candidate will leverage their experience and analytical skills to lead these initiatives, becoming a key driving force in both contract management and pricing transformation within the organization.

The position can be worked remotely (within Europe).

Primary responsibilities
You will take on a role with a challenging, dynamic and rewarding day-to-day set of responsibilities. In this role, you can expect to:

  • Support the development of global pricing and commercial contract strategies across all HBK Business Units.
  • Assist in rolling out the implementation of pricing software within the company’s system landscape as part of the transformation journey.
  • Design and execute a roadmap for commercial contract management, aligning with company goals.
  • Perform analyses of pricing and contracts, translating insights into concrete actions to drive business performance.
  • Serve as the go-to expert on pricing principles, contract management processes, and supporting systems.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Product Management, Marketing, Business Intelligence, and Finance to ensure cohesive pricing and contract management strategies.
  • Manage and optimize pricing and contract processes within our ERP and CRM systems, ensuring efficient and effective operations.

Professional qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Project Management or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in commercial and/or pricing & contract excellence functions within large organizations or as a management consultant.
  • Proven experience in developing and managing commercial contract processes and tools, along with leading training, communication, and coaching initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of B2B pricing and contract best practice.
  • Solid business acumen of B2B companies, gained from either an internal role or working with B2B clients.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and competent in Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM and SAP S4 is an advantage, but not required.

  • Strong understanding of commercial contract terms and conditions.
  • Motivated by deriving new insights via data analyses and communicating this into tangible solutions.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Curiosity for continuous improvement.
  • Fluent in English – written and verbal.
