The position
As an API Specialist at Novo Nordisk, you will:

• Utilize your expertise in GxP Pharma production to optimize resource use, minimize costs, and maintain quality standards.
• Collaborate across teams and departments to ensure compliance with GMP and technologies.
• Plan, manage, and review production operations to achieve output and quality objectives.
• Undertake production activities to transform tangible inputs into finished API products.
• Develop and implement production schedules to effectively utilize employees, tools, plant, and equipment.
• Participate in project team projects to enhance quality, cost, and scheduling.
• Work in a team led by a Senior Specialist, providing you with the opportunity to further develop your skills and knowledge.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

• An academic degree within chemistry, science, chemical engineering or similar.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in GxP Pharma production, specifically within API.
• Strong knowledge of validation and qualification of production processes, preferably chromatography and/or mammalian cell cultivation.
• Expertise in GMP and chromatography and/or mammalian cell cultivation.
• Full proficiency in written and spoken English, with Danish language proficiency being advantageous.

As an individual, you enjoy collaborating across teams and departments. You possess strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, exceptional attention to detail, effective communication skills, and a strong focus on process improvement in dynamic environments.

About the department
Our team is working to expand the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) capacity of our Biotech production in Hillerød. You will become a part of one of the most significant expansion projects in Novo Nordisk – and when finished the facility will employ app. 340 colleagues. The highly automated facility will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology that is flexible to accommodate new processes and products. It will expand our capacity for our portfolio of clinical late phase products to serve more people living with serious chronic diseases including rare diseases.

You will be joining PS API Expansions. The area is anchored in Novo Nordisk Product Supply, Quality & IT, which globally employ approximately 30,000 of Novo Nordisk’s 64,000 employees.

PS API Expansions is a newly established and growing area with the responsibility to design, plan and build all major API Expansions projects across Novo Nordisk to serve the needs of millions of patients.
