Group Reporting Specialist

COWI A/S

Do you want to be a part of a healthy and solid finance organization with ambitions? Can you deliver thorough and reliable services? Do you have expert accounting knowledge and are you a bit of a wizard when it comes to numbers? Then, this is the place to create the solutions the world needs today to enable a better tomorrow.

Create solutions to enable a better tomorrow.
To create transparency and improve reporting on group financial performance, we are looking for a Lead Reporting Specialist to join our team. You will be part of the Group Reporting team, a group function which in addition to Reporting team also includes a business controlling team supporting the group functions and a financial compliance team that performs compliance visits with the subsidiaries of the COWI Group. You will collaborate closely with your colleagues in the Group Reporting team as well as finance colleagues globally and you will report to Malene Nyborg Kristensen, Vice President of Group Reporting.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Assessment and implementation of new accounting regulation, policies and best practice,
  • Translating The Danish Financial Statements Act (ÅRL) and IFRS interpretations into COWI accounting policies and continuously maintaining and developing these,
  • Improvement initiatives to COWI’s annual reports and pro-actively take part in the monthly, quarterly and annual closing process,
  • Act as subject-matter expert on technical accounting questions,
  • Develop training material and perform training of global finance colleagues in accounting guidelines – working with colleagues to apply the theory in tackling COWI specific accounting challenges,
  • Support in M&A processes and impairment testing.

Your skills. Our team. Together we design the future.
The first step to success in this role is that you are eager to collaborate with the people around you, whether they are colleagues, partners or customers. Developing ties with others is something you do by acting respectfully and delivering on your promises. And you never get set in your ways, but keep exploring new insights and ways to improve.

On top of that, you will have:

  • Master's degree in finance, accounting or other relevant education,
  • +5 years of relevant experience,
  • Solid financial management and accounting toolbox,
  • Ability to communicate effortlessly in English.
