About the role
We are looking to hire a highly skilled Network Engineer, who can reinforce our IT Operations team. You will be reporting to the IT Security & Networks Team Lead and work closely with the rest of the Engineering Operations team.
What you will be doing
- Daily operation and maintenance of IT network infrastructure
- Operations of firewalls, routers, DNS and DHCP
- Working on a tech stack primarily focused on Cisco and Azure services
- Assist on design and architecture of IT infrastructure
- Implementation of IT network changes during changes and system upgrades
- Challenge the status quo and improve current configurations
- Improve design and efficiency of existing IT networks
- Troubleshoot and remediate issues with IT network infrastructure
What we are looking for
To be the right candidate for this position, we expect you to have experience working as an IT Network Engineer in a previous position. Also, we expect you to have a strong knowledge and skillset related to management of different Cisco components including Cisco ASA, Cisco ISE, Cisco IOS/IOS-XE and Cisco Meraki. More specifically we are searching for explicit experience within some of the following areas: Device Deployment, Firewalling, Remote Access, Lan-To-Lan IPsec VPN, Dynamic routing (BGP & OSPF), Wired & Wireless 802.1X implementations, MDM Implementation and/or Layer 2 switching. Cisco CCNP Enterprise & Security certified or similar would also be considered as an advantage.
Experience with cloud networking and specifically regarding Azure such as VNET configuration and peering, subnetting, management of NSGs and gateways is also considered valuable. The same applies for knowledge on the Palo Alto Firewall series and Panorama Network Security Management. Furthermore, in addition to these skills and qualifications dedicated within the IT network area, it also is considered an advantage with knowledge on various Linux distributions, iptables, mysql/mariadb, nginx, apache, rsyslog, syslog-ng, docker and scripting. Similar with knowledge on Active Directory (both Azure and On-Prem) as well as enterprise PKI deployment and management and Zscaler as secure web gateway would also be considered beneficial.
As a person you are a team player and capable of working both independently and function as part of a team. You should have an analytical mindset and with the rapid shift in technology development you should be willing to adopt to and learn new technologies quickly. Strong communication skills and an ability to understand and translate business requirements into IT network design would also be an advantage.
As Banking Circle is an international company it´s a requirement, that you are fluent in English, both verbally and in writing. Any additional language skills are a plus.
The position will be based at Banking Circle’s office in Copenhagen.
