Product Manager for Mechanics

You will be responsible for the largest product area within the SKOV Group, and for that you must have a strong mindset of responsibility and accountability for the continuous development of “Mechanical product” area. You striving to ensure that SKOV Group becomes the strongest system/product provider in all market and regions important to SKOV group and its industry areas such as Poultry, Pigs, Cattle, or insects

The mechanics product area has grown significantly over the last 5 years and holds a large potential for further development and growth. You are an experienced product manager who can develop and grow SKOV group portfolio on regionalization containing differentiation on both products, designs, pricing, dimensioning, and quality criteria to meet customer demand and buying behaviors around the world. Explore synergies on product levels between regions when possible and be selective and decisive on regional and global synergies.

The most important tasks in this role will be to:

• Develop and drive an ambitious product roadmap based on market intelligence and deep insights into the many market opportunities for SKOV on a global scale
• Develop and grow the SKOV group portfolio through regionalization, incorporating differentiation in products, designs, pricing, dimensioning, and quality criteria to meet customer demand and buying behaviors worldwide.
• Be accountable for all feature specifications towards R&D
• Build and be accountable for business cases in new product development projects within the product area
• Be accountable for the overall business within the product area in terms of revenue and margin

Professionally, you will bring experience in product management with full business responsibility and proven success in market-oriented product development. You hold a B. Sc. or M. Sc. in mechanical or electrical engineering or have a similar technical background. Preferably, you have a supplementary commercial education, possibly a base education in farming or mechanical or electrical craftsmanship.

Personally, you are an ambitious and goal-driven Product Manager, able to motivate those around you with your creative mind and passion for product and business development. Strong communication skills are also part of who you are and how you are perceived. It falls naturally to you to work cross-functionally and to see synergies that create optimum solutions and product offerings for our customers.

You will be located mainly in Glyngøre, joining a team of professional colleagues with growth, development, and strategy at the top of their minds. Expected travel days are around 30 per year, depending on the projects.
