Category Buyer / Senior Buyer

Actona Group is seeking a dedicated Category Buyer to join our dynamic team, driving solutions for our customers.

About the Job
As the Category Buyer, you will be instrumental in developing and optimizing assigned furniture categories, focusing on sourcing primarily from the Far East. You will work with Actona Group's values, strategy, and goals, and the department's KPIs. Your role involves proactive collaboration with the rest of the organization, including colleagues in China, to secure the best conditions and prices and ensure our customers have the best experience with Actona Group.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Development: Develop commercially strong products in collaboration with the Product and Sales departments.
• Supplier Portfolio: Ensure we have the optimal supplier portfolio for your category, maintaining supplier relationships and developing new opportunities with current and new suppliers.
• Category Optimization: Focus on COGS reductions, supplier consolidation, and maintaining quality standards.
• Negotiations: Ensure price, quality, and terms in negotiations with suppliers.
• Sourcing: Source new furniture, suppliers, and opportunities within your category.
• Commercial Focus: Ensure a holistic approach to customers/projects, maintaining a commercial focus.
• Daily Operations: Manage daily operations, prioritize tasks, resources, and deadlines.
• Procedural Compliance: Ensure adherence to workflows and procedures.

Who Are You?
You have a relevant educational background and a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role. You are an effective communicator and a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills and a holistic mindset.
