About the role

The Organizational Effectiveness Management Office is a catalyst in strategic transformation processes across the AP Moller–Maersk Group. Our expertise is organizational design projects that support the Integrator vision. We are a high-performing and collaborative team, and we work at a fast pace.

In this role, you have an opportunity to be part of a team with strong business acumen and a tradition of intense teamwork. We provide trained muscle power for transformation, applying this to drive optimal outcomes projects aligned with the defined objectives & global integrator strategy.

The team’s diverse background across the business secures situational knowledge and breadth to consult and challenge the projects we deliver.

We Offer

You will enter a small team with a variety of backgrounds and with one common goal of delivering exceptional quality in Organizational Design projects aimed at supporting our strategy of becoming the Global Integrator of Logistics.

You will spar with, learn from and contribute to the learning of the organizational units & teams we engage with. You will build experience and a deep understanding of how our people, processes and customers are affected by change & lead the teams to design effective organization & ways of working aligned with the global integrator vision.

In this role you will work with a large portion of the business, supporting their priorities and safeguarding their focus through turbulent times. You will lead engagement management at senior levels across our enterprise, ensuring we understand their needs and act as a trusted partner.

You will be at the forefront of transformation in our business, bringing to life the vision in the most tangible way.

You will (literally) change the way that international transportation works.

Key Responsibilities
Among other tasks, you will:

  • Design organizations with key stakeholders that drive the desired business outcomes and transform the organization in alignment with the strategy.
  • Drive the roll-out of the new organization with local stakeholders to ensure successful implementation.
  • Connect the organizational design and Ways of Working and drive the most effective approach to structural changes.
  • Link overall Ways of Working requirements to the strategy and proactively adjust critical areas.
  • Work with the Global Business Leaders, Program Management, People Function, Change Management and other workstreams to bring the plan to life.
  • Lead the Organizational Design (OD)/Ways of Working (WoW) workstream for a specific project, to achieve alignment across key internal & external stakeholders on critical outcomes – ways of working, org design & org sizing principles, synergies, role charters, blueprints, org design roll out/ implementation and successful change management & timing.
  • Own OD workstream charter and plan for the project and closely collaborate with other workstreams and key business stakeholders to deliver.
  • Lead a Design Team of senior stakeholders, put together to apply their expert knowledge and experience to successfully deliver a new Organizational Design and Ways of Working for a given project.
  • Challenge the status quo and build neutrality, advice/recommendations where needed to support the strategy and future business requirements.

  • Strong business understanding and focus on securing customer outcomes, also during transformation.
  • Experienced individual, driving for outcomes through engaging & influencing (senior) colleagues.
  • Intense collaboration mindset within the team and the larger organization.
  • Experienced professional seeking to get leanings internally and externally (in cases of mergers & acquisitions) to select and drive optimal future integrated set-up.
  • Ability to communicate and champion Organizational Design approach, decisions & narrative and plan with stakeholders.
  • Skilled in planning and execution, including sourcing skills to form successful project design teams.
  • High level of resilience to work in an ambiguous environment and under (time)pressure.
  • A flexible individual and willing to learn.
  • Ability to move easily from macro to micro level.
  • Solid grounding to handle rapid shifts and high senior stakeholder expectations.
