As a senior member of the Audio team at Bang & Olufsen you will join a diverse and world-renowned team of DSP engineers that design and deliver audio processing for B&O’s portfolio and shape the future of the Audio industry.

You will be part of the wider Audio Technology Group, working closely with audio technologists, acousticians, hardware and software engineers, to redefine the possibilities and make a lasting impact in the world of audio technology.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate the design and implementation of real-time audio processing algorithms on embedded systems, for next-generation high-end audio and audiovisual products.
• Act as an audio technical lead in ongoing projects, build, maintain and communicate planning, resource, and toolchain requirements.
• Lead by example as subject matter expert; mentor DSP and audio engineers.
• Actively contribute to prototyping, debugging, and code reviews to ensure high-quality and robust software implementations.
• Establish best practices for developing, testing and benchmarking algorithms to maintain the high standards of the team and ensure continuous improvement in the ways of working.
• Work closely with Acoustic engineers, hardware and software teams to optimize algorithm performance, as well as define the audio architecture, including definition of hardware and software toolchains.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, contributing insights to the technology strategy and product introductions.

What you bring

• Extensive experience (5 years minimum) in signal processing
• Expertise in Embedded C/C++ programming and working with SHARC processors ADI 21593, will be a plus. Experience on ARM or similar hardware is also welcome.
• In-depth experience in real-time embedded systems, primarily audio, in fixed-point and floating-point operations.
• Experience with integrating and using advanced signal processing structures and audio-visual multichannel decoders such as Dolby Atmos Home Audio, MPEG-H and DTS.
• Proficiency in translating code from basic principles and prototype languages (Μatlab) to efficient code (C/C++) or system-agnostic middleware, such as AudioWeaver.
• Experience in designing, implementing and debugging low-level drivers, understanding hardware implications.
• Experience with modern software project methodologies, for example, Agile and Scrum, as well as related tools such as Git, JIRA.
• Basic understanding of unit testing and system integration testing concepts.

• Enhanced problem-solving skills, combined with positive communication and collaboration values.

Compensation: Competitive salary and benefits package.
