Qualifications
Extensive NDI Experience

  • A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI), particularly in roles that involve high levels of responsibility and decision-making authority. Your experience should include a deep understanding of NDI processes, methodologies, and standards, particularly in the context of aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries.

Specialization in Composites Manufacturing

  • Strong background in working with composite materials is essential. This includes a thorough understanding of the unique challenges associated with inspecting and ensuring the quality of composite structures. Experience in a composites manufacturing environment will be highly valued, particularly where complex NDI techniques are applied to advanced materials.

  • Certification to NDI Level 2-3 in key techniques such as Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Radiographic Testing (RT), and Penetrant Testing (PT) from recognized professional bodies like NAS410, EN4179, or an equivalent standard. This certification demonstrates your proficiency and expertise in critical NDI methods, and your ability to lead and mentor others in these areas.

Comprehensive Knowledge of Composite Materials

  • In-depth understanding of composite materials, including their properties, fabrication processes, and common failure mechanisms. This knowledge is critical for effectively applying NDI techniques to assess the integrity and quality of composite structures.

Experience with NDI Procedure Development

  • Proven track record in developing and implementing NDI procedures that meet industry standards and customer requirements. Your experience should include writing and revising NDI protocols, as well as leading efforts to ensure these procedures are followed rigorously in practice.

Leadership and Management
Proven ability to lead and manage teams, particularly in high-stakes environments. You will need to inspire and guide NDI personnel, ensuring that everyone is aligned with the company’s quality and safety standards. Your leadership will be crucial in driving the department's success, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring effective communication across all levels.

Project Management
Strong project management skills, with the ability to plan, execute, and oversee NDI projects from start to finish. This includes managing timelines, resources, and budgets while ensuring that all project objectives are met.
