Research Assistant in Power Electronics – DTU Electro
Danmarks Tekniske Universitet (DTU)
This specific research assistant position will focus on the improvement of existing power electronic prototypes developed at the electronics group towards specific commercial applications.
If you are looking for an exciting opportunity for a research assistant position, we at Department of Electrical and Photonic Engineering, Technical University of Denmark are seeking a candidate to work in a team of other researchers in a project focusing on the design and implementation of high-frequency resonant converters for AC-DC converter applications. With the current demand for higher power density and lighter weights of AC-DC converters in a number of markets, resonant converters emerge as a primary candidate for the development of small-size and weights adapters, drivers, and chargers with high efficiency. This specific research assistant position will focus on the improvement of existing prototypes developed at the electronics group towards specific commercial applications.
Responsibilities and qualifications
The research assistant will work in a research team with both academic and industrial backgrounds. The project involves design and implementation of AC-DC converter topologies, testing and characterization, custom magnetic devices implementation, design of control circuits, and writing scientific papers.
As a formal qualification, you must have a master’s degree in engineering or equivalent, preferably in Power Electronics. Prior experience in relation to the design and implementation of power supplies, especially AC-DC converters and power factor correction (PFC) circuits or related knowledge is an advantage.
