Automation test engineer (senior) - Nykredit

We are searching for a QA automation engineer (senior)

For this role, we are looking for someone to join Nykredit – one of the banks BEC Poland works closely with.

Nykredit is both a bank and a mortgage provider owned by an association of customers. Being customer-owned, they are in a unique position to give something back to their customers when they are doing well. Together they can simply do more for their customers and for society.

This position is based at our friendly office in Warsaw, Poland where you will join a five man big team of seasoned QA Engineers placed in our Quality Engineering department.

The team is a centralized Test Automation team, in the Property Finance business area. It support multiple development teams in covering various automated testing activities including; smoke-, integration-, regression- and performance at system level. Main focus is on integrations between services – direct, using REST calls and an eventing framework.

Your new team is well established and recognized for its operational excellence and value generation throughout its stakeholders. The existing team dynamics is exceptionally pleasant with an openminded attitude providing you with opportunity to influence own tasks and the strategic direction of the managed solutions.

You will be responsible for analyzing services using API documentation, design test cases in cooperation with the development teams and implement them in a testing project based on Java, Rest Assured and Cucumber. The CI in the project is covered by Jenkins, using Jenkins Pipelines.

Your responsibilities will also include maintaining and updating scripts for running automated tests as well as verifying the test results, finding the root cause for revealed defects and reporting bugs.

At Nykredit, we prefer to collaborate often in the office, but we also keep the opportunity to work remotely up to 8 days per month. Your direct manager will be Frederik Møller.

Primary task and responsibilities include:

• Test automation on system level.
• Designing, implementing and maintaining automated integration tests for multiple services.
• Automation of regression system scenarios provided by manual testers.
• Introducing improvements in testing framework.
• Root cause analysis and reporting bugs.

To succeed you will have:

• A curious mind with an open nature and desire to knowledge-share with others.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• QA mindset
• Solid Coding skills and work experience with Java, REST services, REST Assured, CI, Jenkins, Cucumber, SQL (Oracle)

It’s nice-to-have:

• Previous experience from within the financial sector
• Experience from working with Scrum in Agile Teams
• Understanding of how to work in a hybrid SAFE setting
• AI usage in QA processes
