We are seeking a talented AIV Systems Engineer to join our AIV team
You will have the opportunity to become part of an internationally oriented and dedicated team, with a dynamic and diverse work culture focused on mutual success.
As an AIV Systems Engineer within our AIV department, part of the Programs Business Unit, you will be involved in all satellite projects entering our cleanroom facilities. Our Programs Business Unit specializes in delivering nanosatellites and microsatellites to academic institutions, commercial customers, government agencies, and space industry partners.
At GomSpace, you will play a crucial role in the assembly, integration, and verification of nanosatellites and microsatellites. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful completion of these processes for our satellite platforms. You will support the definition, organization and execution of associated test and verification campaigns. You will work very closely with the Systems Engineering Team, Subsystems Engineers and AIT Engineers.
Introduction
In addition to assembly, integration, and testing activities, the ideal candidate will play a vital role in developing AIV facilities and processes in collaboration with the AIV Manager. This position requires a proactive individual with a strong background in satellite AIV/AIT, aerospace engineering, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a multinational team environment.
Key responsibilities include
Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Coordinate the AIV phase of the future GomSpace nanosatellites and microsatellites
- Troubleshooting test issues
- Troubleshooting mechanical issues
- Question about integration
- Do parameter settings on the spacecraft
- Coordinator of Non-Conformances together with the Quality department
- Integration of the satellite at launch site
Requirements
- Master's degree in aerospace, mechanical, or electrical engineering, or related field.
- Intensive experience in satellite AIV and testing. Knowledge and experience with MGSE/EGSE and functional testing.
- Practical knowledge of electronics and environmental test standards.
- Proven ability to prepare, configure, and execute tests following relevant procedures and processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience in troubleshooting AIT activities.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a focus on coordination with engineering and specialists.
- Proficiency in English.
- Knowledge sharing leader.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment, sometimes with very long days.
- Availability for regular international travel and occasional on-call support during test campaigns.
Attributes of Successful Candidate
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the space domain, ideally with expertise in environmental and launch test campaigns.
- Knowledge and experience with satellite qualification and acceptance testing.
- Knowledge about production flow.
