ESG Specialist

Dantherm A/S

To lead our sustainability initiatives

Would you like to join 1,000 colleagues in a private equity-owned international company and contribute to the continued growth journey of the Dantherm Group? We have been making energy-efficient climate control solutions since the 1950s and we are currently looking for an experienced ESG Specialist with the task to lead, inspire and further develop our Group-wide sustainability efforts. The position can be organisationally placed at either our headquarter in Skive, Denmark, or at one of our main sites in Pastrengo, Italy, or Heinsberg, Germany.

As our new ESG Specialist, you will continue improving and driving the Group's ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) framework, focusing on implementing processes, ensuring data quality, and delivering timely reports. You will drive future Group-wide ESG projects and oversee the annual creation of our public Sustainability Report in collaboration with the ESG Group Leads.

You will take ownership of ESG reporting and compliance, working closely with executives, managers, colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. Your role will involve regular interaction and collaboration with managers and stakeholders across the company to strengthen our targeted ESG efforts and further develop and implement Dantherm Group’s ESG strategy.

As the internal advisor and contact person for ESG matters, you will follow up on roles and responsibilities for each subsidiary, ensure compliance with new legislation, and monitor legislative changes. You will consolidate ESG data and prepare quarterly performance updates and annual reports, as well as train and guide relevant colleagues in ESG reporting and target achievement.

Additionally, you will ensure accurate reporting of scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions and coordinate the preparation of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) across product platforms. This includes obtaining and analysing data for Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) studies, preparing documents for third-party approval, and engaging with project stakeholders to provide insights into LCA results for all relevant products.

Personal and professional qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field
  • Analytical and decision-making competences
  • Ability to translate complex topics into organisational initiatives
  • Experience with ESG/Sustainability, CSRD, SBTi, EPD, and LCA
  • Proficient in data handling and analysis, with experience in Excel and Power BI
  • Team player who works effectively both independently and in groups
  • Effective communicator, capable of conveying complex information in simple terms to various stakeholders
  • Confident in English, both spoken and written

Most importantly you are passionate about ESG/sustainability, and you enjoy diving into complex topics.

What can you expect from us?
We’re offering a key position in a forward-thinking organisation with sustainability at the top of the agenda. Among other things, this means that we are highly focused on environmental improvements in relation to our own operations and the solutions we sell.

In your day-to-day work, you will have a wealth of Danish and international colleagues who are all united in helping customers and each other succeed. The working environment is characterised by freedom under responsibility and a focus on personal and professional development, e.g. through annual performance reviews combined with opportunities for relevant continuing education.

We focus on work-life balance and therefore have a flexible approach to working hours and working from home. We also prioritise diversity in the workplace and often employ colleagues with special needs, and we offer senior step-down schemes to retain experienced employees and ensure a smooth transition to retirement.

We offer a competitive salary package, including a good pension scheme along with a range of other employee benefits.

Does this sound like something for you?
We are aiming to fill the position as soon as possible but are also willing to wait for the right candidate. We handle applications on an ongoing basis, so please upload your application and CV sooner rather than later.
