The Offshore Equipment organization has the responsibility to manage and deliver equipment to support installation projects globally. The organization owns the full value chain; hence we are present in all equipment decisions from scoping, design to execution of installation projects. A special effort is put on safety and securing high uptime of the equipment throughout its lifetime. This is done through an integrated feedback loop, linking the use of equipment to preventive maintenance and continuous improvement programs and further back to the integrated design process for next generations of equipment to come.

How to contribute to our vision

The Equipment Engineering Department comprises over 100+ engineers and designers dedicated to developing the next generation of transport, storage, and lifting equipment for wind turbine installation in Offshore Wind Projects. In your role as our new Lifting and Stabilization specialist, you will:

  • Lead strategic initiatives within lifting and stabilization to improve the way we install turbine components (blade, tower, and nacelle)
  • Formulate stabilization and damping strategy for blade, nacelle, and tower installation for future development projects and optimization of existing
  • At concept level, define future lifting yokes, rigging setup and required dampening solutions
  • Participate in knowledge building within Equipment Engineering (dynamic lifting studies, measuring, BHawC simulations, tagline system, e.g.)
  • Analyze performance and identify improvements on existing lifting and stabilization equipment, and initiate improvement activities
  • Communicate with engineers, designers, stakeholders, other experts, suppliers, management. You must therefore be trained in communication, both oral and written.

What you need to make a difference

A passion for renewable energy and a sense of the importance of change. We are also looking for a specialist engineer who:

  • Hold a degree in BSc or MSc. in mechanical engineering combined with minimum of 10 years of relevant technical experience in product development and engineering for wind power or similar industrial context
  • Preferably experience with lifting operations of heavy components in onshore/offshore environments, or a strong background and experience of lifting of heavy components
  • Ensuring business success and satisfaction of the customer and ensuring professional stakeholder management
  • Is self-driven, motivated, engaged to solve difficult technical challenges through innovation and cooperation with a global team
  • Has experience in technical leadership and mentorship
  • Has a systematic and well-organized approach, maintaining a solid oversight of projects and is able to make calculated decisions based on the knowledge and risks known.

You take responsibility for your work; you value people, and you possess strong strategic innovative orientation and strong decision making. You are familiar with working in an international environment and possess excellent English skills both orally and in writing. You think Safety first in your daily work.
