The position:
As an International Medical Director – Clinical Development, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading with strategic foresight and provide clinical leadership for all clinical deliverables within the assigned projects.
  • Conducting BD assessments
  • Designing and developing protocols for clinical trials, ensuring they meet regulatory and scientific standards, and focus on medically sound regulatory interactions, robust data analysis, and communication.
  • Identifying and navigating potential challenges, risks, and roadblocks, creating solutions that align with global clinical development strategies.
  • Fostering collaboration across networks to develop innovative clinical strategies for new treatments and spearhead the expansion of our scientific network.

***The position will primarily be based in Søborg, Copenhagen, Denmark, with the possibility of working from our hub locations in Oxford, London, Warsaw, and Madrid.***

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, we expect you to have the following qualifications:

  • MD with 10 +years of experience in clinical development
  • Skills in translational medicine, and early drug development, and Phase 1- 4 clinical development programs.
  • Adept in clinical trial design, data analysis, and interpretation.
  • Well-versed in regulatory and guideline compliance.
  • + 5 years clinical experience as haematologist preferably with extensive immunology experience and rare renal disease understanding
  • Embodiment of the department's commitment to individual growth, team spirit, knowledge sharing, and fostering a diverse culture.
  • Upholding the principles of open communication, collaboration, and continuous improvement, building trust and transparency with partners.

About the department
Medical & Science, Rare Disease is part of Clinical Drug Development and situated in Søborg, Copenhagen, Denmark. We are passionate about developing new treatments for rare disorders and we span over various technologies such as proteins, small molecules, stem cells, gene therapy as platforms. In your role, you will be part of a team of highly qualified and motivated colleagues.

We are responsible for clinical development strategies and programs that enable us to get our innovative treatments and devices into the hands of patients who need them – safely and efficiently. This is obtained by working at the frontiers of discovery and bridging the early ideas from research to the marketed products in life cycle management. Leveraging your clinical experience and expertise in drug development is pivotal for products to be developed and in the end reach the patients to serve their needs.

The area consists of three departments with approximately 40 people including medical doctors (MDs) and Clinical Pharmacology experts representing more than 13 different nationalities which forms a strong basis for knowledge sharing and scientific discussions as well as a social and diverse environment.
