Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure application functionality, usability, and performance meet the intended design specifications.
  • Manually test web applications to identify bugs and verify fixes, focusing on both back-end logic and front-end usability.
  • Collaborate with product managers and developers to understand requirements and ensure that all technical specifications are met.
  • Participate in the design and review of new features, providing input on potential issues and testability.
  • Enhance existing QA processes and integrate automated testing tools and methods to improve efficiency and coverage.
  • Maintain documentation of test results, and manage the tracking and resolution of bugs.
  • Advocate for high-quality software development practices across the team, contributing to discussions on improvements and innovations.
  • Prepare test cases and scenarios for automated testing tools, as needed, to support continuous integration and deployment processes.
  • Being responsible for delivering high quality features to our users

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a QA Engineer or Software Tester.
  • Proficient in various testing techniques and types, including functional, non-functional, regression, and performance testing.
  • Strong knowledge in planning and writing Test Cases
  • Familiarity with databases, SQL, RESTful APIs, and debugging practices.
  • Basic understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  • Experience with bug tracking tools and agile methodologies.
  • Familiarity with test automation
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, with fluency in English, capable of working collaboratively in a fully remote team environment.
  • Interest or background in gaming

Nice to have skills:

  • Experience with automation testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress or Playwright.
  • Familiarity with server-side programming (preferably PHP).
  • ISTQB certification or similar qualifications.

WITHIN 1 MONTH YOU WILL:

  • Onboarding and Familiarization:
    • Complete onboarding processes and training sessions to understand the company's products, especially those related to aim training
    • Acclimate to the team dynamics, communication tools, and project management workflows.
  • Initial Testing Responsibilities:
    • Begin writing and executing test cases for existing features to understand the current state of application functionality.
    • Collaborate with product managers/owners and developers to review and understand the requirements of ongoing projects.
  • Bug Tracking and Documentation:
    • Familiarize yourself with the bug tracking tools used by the company, and start logging any identified issues.
    • Start maintaining detailed documentation of test results and bug reports.
  • Immediate Contributions:
    • Start contributing to manual testing efforts, focusing on both back-end logic and front-end usability.
    • Provide initial feedback on QA processes and suggest minor improvements based on your early observations.

WITHIN 3 MONTHS YOU WILL:

  • Enhanced Testing Involvement:
    • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for new features and enhancements.
    • Start participating actively in the design and review of new features, providing input on potential issues and testability from the QA perspective.
  • Automation Integration:
    • Begin integrating automated testing tools and methods to improve the efficiency and coverage of testing processes.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Enhance existing QA processes by identifying gaps and implementing best practices in testing and bug tracking.
    • Take a more active role in advocating for high-quality software development practices within the team.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Establish strong communication channels with cross-functional teams, ensuring smooth collaboration and timely issue resolution.
    • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to discussions on feature development and process improvements.

WITHIN 9 MONTHS YOU WILL:

  • Leadership:
    • Lead the QA efforts for major releases and projects, ensuring that all aspects of testing are covered and quality standards are met.
  • Strategic Contributions:
    • Contribute to the long-term QA strategy, including the adoption of new tools, technologies, and methodologies to keep the QA processes at the forefront of industry standards.
    • Take a proactive role in identifying and resolving complex issues, ensuring that the highest level of quality is maintained across all products.
  • Product Impact:
    • Be responsible for delivering high-quality features to users, ensuring that all products meet the intended design specifications and performance criteria.
    • Monitor and analyze the performance of released features, using data to inform future testing and development efforts.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Continuously refine and improve the QA processes based on feedback, retrospectives, and industry trends.
