As the Head of Core Platform - Customs Services Product, you will be responsible for leading the product development process, from concept to market
launch. This role requires a strong technical background, exceptional leadership and management skills, and ideally, experience in customs services. You will oversee a global team of professionals, guiding them through research, development, prototyping, testing, and iteration to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality products.

As the Head of Core Platform - Customs Services Product, you will be responsible for leading the product development process, from concept to market
launch. This role requires a strong technical background, exceptional leadership and management skills, and ideally, experience in customs services. You will oversee a global team of professionals, guiding them through research, development, prototyping, testing, and iteration to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Development Leadership:
    • Drive the technical aspects of product development, ensuring all stages from ideation to market release are executed with excellence.
    • Oversee research and development, prototyping, testing, coding, designing, and iterative improvements of the product’s features and functionalities.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally across Maersk Technology and non-technology teams to ensure product development aligns with broader business goals and market needs.
  • Management and Leadership:
    • Lead and manage a global team, including responsibilities for hiring, coaching, mentoring, task coordination, performance appraisal, and pay reviews.
    • Develop departmental plans based on the broader functional strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and ensuring the professional growth of team members.
  • Strategic Contribution:
    • Participate in wider decision-making processes, contributing to the development of practices, processes, and procedures.
    • Work independently within a broad framework, solving complex challenges and considering the broader impact of decisions on the organization.
    • Collaborate with other functions to ensure seamless integration and implementation of solutions across the company.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in product development, with a strong technical background in building and launching products.
  • Customs experience is highly advantageous, with an understanding of the specific challenges and requirements in this field.
  • Proven leadership and management experience, including the ability to lead a global team and manage performance across multiple regions.
  • Deep understanding of business operations, industry trends, and cross-functional interdependencies, particularly within a technology-driven environment like Maersk.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex challenges and drive effective solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of influencing and leading cross-functional teams across both technical and non-technical areas.
