Supply Portfolio and Project Manager

We are seeking someone who can not only lead these initiatives but also refine our project processes to ensure efficient execution.

Your Challenges

As a member of our team in Østbirk, you will join the Supply Engineering and Product Introduction organisation. Your primary responsibility will be to lead Product Category Team (PCT) projects, focusing on cost reduction, quality, sustainability, and delivery. Beyond project management, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our project initiation processes and improving project execution, with a particular emphasis on reducing lead times. Your main challenge will be to implement improvement projects in the sloped roof category, both at the portfolio and project manager levels.

Your main tasks in the role will be:

Support the cross-functional portfolio group. The portfolio group assesses ongoing and future projects against targets within quality improvement, sustainability, and cost reduction.

Prepare and support the preparation of incoming projects so they are ready for prioritisation and execution.

Ensure that we have a valid estimate of how many resources/competencies (Production, Technical, Quality, Procurement, etc.) are needed and are available to reach the portfolio targets.

Drive the implementation in the supply chain of some of the projects in the portfolio. Typically, the projects in the portfolio vary from 5-25MDKK in cost.

Strengthen and develop the process of initiating and executing improvement projects in the portfolio.

You will achieve your results in close collaboration with your colleagues across the Velux organisation. In the projects, you will typically be reporting to the overall project manager, and depending on the size and complexity of the assigned project, you may also have the responsibility of one or more project managers. In this role, you should expect to travel internationally approximately 15-30 days a year, primarily in Europe.

You’ll be working in a matrix organisation, so there will be many interfaces and therefore a high degree of complexity in our projects – it is key that you are motivated by this!

Your Qualifications

You thrive working with a variety of projects and processes within a supply chain. You’re able to constructively challenge and develop our processes and the way we execute and implement our projects in a collaborative way. You feel comfortable in a role with many stakeholders, and you’re able to build networks and establish trust with your stakeholders. Being a natural team player, you have a strong drive and get your energy from short deadlines and achieving tangible results in close collaboration with colleagues from different areas of the organisation.

In addition, we expect you to have:

• A degree within business development, engineering, or similar.
• Minimum 3 years of project management experience and/or process development, working in a supply chain with a high degree of complexity.
• Technical insight and a good understanding of production processes.
• Excellent planning, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• You speak and write English effortlessly (Danish is a plus, but not required).
